Orange And Chia Seed Creams: A Very Easy Recipe.

Chia seeds are renowned for their health benefits as they are rich in fiber, minerals, and omega-3. If you lack inspiration on how to incorporate them into your desserts, here is a very easy recipe for orange and chia seed creams. These quick-to-prepare little creams allow you to combine healthy cooking with indulgence.

Ingredients

Here are the necessary ingredients to prepare orange and chia seed creams for 6 people:

4 eggs
2 tablespoons of honey
90g of almond cream
2 oranges
20g of chia seeds
2 tablespoons of orange blossom water

Note: To prepare this dessert, we recommend using a liquid honey with a neutral flavor such as acacia honey or flower honey.

Preparation

The preparation of orange and chia seed creams is very simple and quick.

1- Squeeze the oranges and reserve the juice.

2- Beat the eggs into an omelette and incorporate the liquid honey by whisking vigorously.

3- Add the vegetable cream, orange juice and orange blossom water.

4- Finally, incorporate the chia seeds and mix gently to distribute them evenly in the liquid.

Cooking

1- Preheat your oven to 200°C.

2- Divide the mixture into 6 small heat-resistant ramekins.

3- Bake the orange and chia seed creams for 12 to 15 minutes.

Note: the cooking time may vary depending on the amount of juice in the oranges and the thickness of the ramekins used.

4- Check the cooking by moving the tray containing the ramekins. The small creams are cooked when they no longer tremble.

Decoration

After cooking, the small chia seeds are visible on the surface of the creams. For an even prettier visual, you can decorate each of the creams with orange and chia seed with a thin strip of orange zest.

Tasting tips.

You can enjoy these orange and chia seed creams warm or cold. Don't hesitate to try both versions: the taste and especially the texture are different after being refrigerated!

In this dessert, honey and orange blossom water bring sweetness and help balance the acidity of the citrus fruits. Chia seeds, which swell upon contact with any liquid, have a gelling effect.

It should also be noted that these seeds are not irritating to the intestines. On the contrary, these small seeds with multiple virtues are known to be beneficial for intestinal transit because they are rich in mucilage.

In summary, these little creams are a dessert that is both healthy, easy to digest, and deliciously comforting. Taking care of your digestive system has never been easier ;-)
