The Luxor: An Iconic Hotel In Las Vegas.

Famous for its onyx-colored pyramid, which rises over 106 meters into the Las Vegas sky, the Luxor attracts travelers from all over the world. We invite you to discover this iconic hotel in the city.

An emblem of Las Vegas.

The Luxor is one of the most famous hotel-casinos in Las Vegas. Located in the southern part of the Strip, it benefits from an ideal location near the airport, Bali Hai Golf Club, and Sands Expo Convention Center.

This hotel, built on the theme of ancient Egypt, owes its name to the city of Luxor. Its main building is a 106-meter-high Pyramid, flanked by a huge reproduction of the Sphinx of Giza.

The hotel opened its doors on October 15, 1993. Two additional towers with 2000 rooms were added in 1998. Today, the Luxor has a total of 4407 rooms, making it the 7th largest hotel in the world!

The Luxor services.

If Luxor is mostly known for its pyramid, it offers services that are worth a visit. It houses a casino, a nightclub, several restaurants, a wedding chapel, not to mention a spa (with hammam, sauna and jacuzzis) and 4 large pools. The hotel's casino offers 11,000 m² of slot machines and gaming tables (craps, poker, roulette).

For all your business trips, this establishment offers a business center, small group meeting rooms and technical assistance.

The air-conditioned rooms are equipped with cable TV and a choice of a king-size bed or two queen-size beds. They include a seating area and a bathroom with a very large shower (rooms starting from €42). The 200 Pyramid Spa suites have a separate bedroom and living room, a personal jacuzzi and very large bathrooms.

A pharaonic architecture.

At its opening on October 15, 1993, the Luxor pyramid was the largest building on the Strip. Due to its pyramid shape, this hotel has the particularity of having elevators that ascend obliquely along the edges of the pyramid, following an angle of 39 degrees.

The footprint of the pyramid forms a square of 169 meters per side. It houses an atrium, which is the largest atrium in the world with a volume of 820,000 m³.

The top of the pyramid contains a fixed spotlight that points directly towards the sky. This very large projector is visible all over the Strip at night: it is indeed known to be the brightest light beam in the world, with a power equivalent to 42 billion candles!

The formalities to be completed.

If you want to go to Las Vegas and stay at the Luxor, you must of course fulfill a number of formalities.

The conditions for any trip to the United States are to have a valid passport and to apply for an ESTA for the United States. For French tourists, it is not necessary to obtain a visa for a stay of less than 90 days.

The ESTA is a travel authorization to the United States that allows you to enter legally on American soil without a visa. The issuance of this authorization is paying and costs $21.

To obtain this official ESTA Electronic Travel Authorization, you do not need to go to the embassy or consulate. You just need to complete an online form.

You will be asked to provide information about your identity (name, address, etc.) and your passport (attention: if you do not have a biometric or electronic passport your application will be automatically rejected). You will also need to answer a series of questions about your health status and criminal history with yes or no.

Once granted, the Esta travel authorization is valid for 2 years. You can therefore go to the United States several times during this period, without having to apply for a new authorization. But beware: if your passport expires before this deadline, the authorization is only valid until its expiration date!
