At Museums For You: Free Activities In The Museums Of The French Riviera.

For the first time in 2024, nineteen museums on the French Riviera are offering the public a weekend of entertainment and workshops completely free of charge. Don't hesitate to take advantage of this fun-filled family event: the schedule of activities has been designed for both young and old!

What is the A Musées Vous event about?

"Museums for You" is a festive weekend in the museums of the French Riviera. To encourage families to discover or rediscover these cultural venues and their collections, participating museums organize exclusive animations and workshops.

This event, held for the first time on the French Riviera in 2024, promises to offer the public unique artistic and cultural experiences.

The cherry on top, the animations and workshops offered are free. Visitors only have to pay for the museum's entrance fee.

Which museums are participating?

No fewer than 19 Azurean museums are participating in the first edition of the A Musées Vous event.

Fun activities await you in every corner of the Alpes-Maritimes department and in Monaco, thanks to the participation of the following museums:

• The Fernand Léger National Museum in Biot at 225 chemin du Val de Pôme 06110 Biot.

• The Museum of World Explorations in Cannes at Place de la Castre, 06400 Cannes.

• Villa Les Camélias in Cap-d'Ail at 17 avenue Gramaglia 06320 Cap-d'Ail.

• The Lou Ferouil Museum in Gilette at 3150 route de Gilette.

• The Museum of Art and History of Provence in Grasse at 2 rue Mirabeau 06130 Grasse.

• The International Perfume Museum in Grasse at 2 boulevard du Jeu de Ballon.

• The Provençal Museum of Costume and Jewelry in Grasse at 2 rue Jean Ossola.

• The Bonnard Museum at 16 boulevard Sadi Carnot 06110 Le Cannet.

• The Château de La Napoule located at Avenue Clews 06210 Mandelieu-la-Napoule.

• The Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology of Monaco at 56 bis boulevard du Jardin exotique 98000 Monaco.

• The Oceanographic Museum of Monaco on Avenue Saint-Martin 98000 Monaco.

• The Espace de l'Art Concret in Mouans-Sartoux, specifically in the Château de Mouans.

• The Departmental Museum of Asian Arts at 405 Promenade des Anglais 06200 Nice.

• The National Sports Museum in Nice at 6 allée Camille Muffat.

• The National Marc Chagall Museum in Nice, located on Avenue Docteur Ménard.

• The Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and its gardens.

• The Museum of Wonders in Tende located at Avenue du 16 septembre 1947, 06430 Tende.

• The Ceramics Museum in Vallauris on Place de la Libération.

• The Escoffier Museum of Culinary Art in Villeneuve-Loubet at 3 rue Auguste Escoffier.

What activities are offered?

For a weekend, the event "A Musées Vous" invites people of all ages to live unique artistic experiences. These exclusive activities will awaken all your senses and make your museum discovery much more playful.

Come rediscover the world of great painters like Marc Chagall, Fernand Léger, and Pierre Bonnard! Explore magical places such as the gardens of Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild or Villa Les Camélias in Cap-d'Ail!

Come admire local craftsmanship like the perfumery of Grasse or the art of ironwork with the passionate blacksmith Pierre-Guy Martelly from Gilette.

Participate with your family in free workshops (prior registration required). For example, you can learn to start a fire using friction and percussion at the Prehistoric Anthropology Museum of Monaco or attend a kung-fu class on the forecourt of the Asian Arts Museum in Nice.

For a weekend, there will be sports, art, surprises, and above all many reasons to have fun in the museums of the French Riviera!

The first edition of A Musées Vous takes place on January 27 and 28, 2024, in participating museums.
