A must-see destination for the holidays

Located only a few kilometers from Toulon in the Var, Sanary-sur-Mer is the perfect place to spend a few days of vacation during the holiday season.

Covid 19 obliges, some Christmas animations have been cancelled for the 2020-2021 edition of 'Chœurs de lumière'. Thus, there is no parade, no fireworks or music in Sanary this year, unlike last year.

On the other hand, the beautifully decorated harbour for Christmas continues to attract thousands of visitors to the town.

Wonderful illuminations

The illuminated pointus of Sanary-sur-Mer are one of the most beautiful animations to see in the region during the end of year celebrations.

The port of Sanary, always very pleasant and very popular with walkers, puts on its most beautiful finery during the 'Chœurs de lumière' event.

Adorned with garlands of light, the traditional 'pointus' are transformed into magical boats.

This unique show in France is enough to attract thousands of visitors every late afternoon.

Thus, despite the sanitary restrictions, the good mood and the magic of Christmas continue to reign on the port and in the pedestrian streets.

The forests of fir trees are maintained, as are the illuminations all over the town centre.

In 2020-2021, you can see illuminations:
=> in the windows of the Maison Flotte and the Barthélemy de Don gallery
