Fresh Fig Salad: An Easy Recipe

Late summer is the peak season for purple figs. What if you took advantage of this to prepare a mixed salad with fresh figs? We suggest you discover the recipe for this tasty sweet and savoury starter.

Ingredients

Here are the ingredients needed to make a fresh fig Mixed salad for 4 people:

120 g baby greens (spinach shoots, baby lettuce leaves, mesclun)
4 ripe but firm Purple figs
3 slices of raw ham
a piece of Grana Padano cheese
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1/2 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar
salt and pepper

Preparation

We advise you to start by preparing the different ingredients of this Mixed salad with fresh figs, so that you can serve it quickly after dressing it with the vinaigrette

1- Wash and gently wring out the young lettuce shoots.

2- Prepare a vinaigrette by mixing the olive oil with the balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper in a bowl.

3- Cut the slices of raw ham into thin strips.

4- Rinse and gently dry the figs, then cut them into quarters.

Mounting

1- Spread the salad leaves on a serving dish and season with the vinaigrette.

2- Arrange the strips of cured ham and the quarters of fresh figs nicely on the salad.

3- To finish, sprinkle this mixed salad with fresh figs with shavings of Grana Padano cheese made with a vegetable peeler.

4- Serve immediately.
