Among the proposals, the Rando Vélo Apéro stands out for its friendly atmosphere: we ride electric mountain bikes, guided by an instructor, through larch forests and sunny ridges, before finishing at the altitude restaurant Le Péguieou with a platter of local flavors.
The activity is accessible to teenagers and is organized several days a week until the end of August, with the option to book it for groups and families. An outing that combines effort, scenery, and gourmet delights (ideal for ending on a warm note).
Lunch at over 2,300 meters
The Péguieou is not just a meeting point for an aperitif: located at 2,365 meters, the restaurant is perfect for a family lunch in a spectacular setting.
You can reach the establishment on foot, by e-MTB, or choose a 4x4 ride offered by the restaurant upon reservation for those who prefer to limit walking. Somewhere, a meal at the summit turns into a small adventure and a shared memory.
Hikes and nature discoveries
Pra Loup also serves as a starting point for guided family hikes. These outings allow you to encounter marmots, walk along high-altitude lakes, observe the wildlife of the Mercantour National Park, or better appreciate the landscapes of the valley.
There are also forest walks during which parents and children imagine and build a shelter using elements found on-site: a simple and creative activity that encourages observation and play with what nature offers.
Games, pony and fun activities
For the youngest, the first experience of the mountain can be through a pony ride on the slopes. The resort's treasure hunts turn the walk into a real-life investigation.

To vary the pleasures, one can take flight with a paragliding baptism above the resort and the valley, or descend the Ubaye River for white-water activities such as rafting, canyoning, aquatic hiking, or hydrospeed, suitable for different levels.
And then there is AstroLoup: a three-day astronomy festival that combines scientific workshops, water rocket building, a planetarium, games related to astronomy, and observations of the Sun and the starry sky. The grand observation evening of the Perseids, organized in conjunction with the Barcelonnette Mercantour Observatory, promises a memorable nocturnal interlude (a great family evening idea, indeed).
