How to learn to punch?

If punch needle is so popular nowadays on image sharing platforms such as Instagram and Pinterest, it's mainly because this technique can be quickly mastered.

This variant of classic embroidery only requires minimal materials: a ball of yarn, fabric, an embroidery hoop and a punch needle such as the Oxford 10 Punch Needle.

Tutorials to learn the basic stitches (which are loops and flat stitches) are easy to find in books or on the internet. If you already enjoy sewing and have some experience with traditional embroidery, you should be able to quickly master this particular technique and follow video tutorials like this one:
