The Valbonne Garden Festival: A Fair For Mediterranean Plants

The Valbonne Garden Festival, organized in the spring by the Mediterranean Gardeners Society, is the annual gathering for enthusiasts of Mediterranean plants. Horticulturists come to present and sell their plants, much to the delight of amateur gardeners in the region. Don't hesitate to check it out this weekend: admission is free!

Mediterranean plants in the spotlight

The Valbonne Garden Festival is an annual event organized by the Mediterranean Garden Society (SGJM).

The plant fair is managed by the members of the Board of Directors, particularly by Pascale Poirier, the representative of professionals.

This festival takes place on the last weekend of March at Sophie-Laffitte square in Sophia-Antipolis and features a different theme each year, such as honey plants.

It brings together horticulturists and producers mainly from the PACA region, neighboring areas, and Liguria.

Exhibitors commit through a charter to sell quality plants, grown under conditions suitable for the Mediterranean region, thus ensuring visitors that the plants will successfully establish and grow in their gardens.

2024 Edition

The 27th Valbonne Garden Festival takes place on March 30 and 31, 2024 with the theme: "Carefree Plants".

This year, the festival will particularly highlight plants that are naturally adapted to our climate and resistant to diseases and major pests (aromatics, succulents, citrus, etc.).

33 horticultural professionals will come to present and sell their plants, but also to provide visitors with all the advice and information needed to make the right choice of species, depending on the quality of the soil and the exposure of their garden or terrace.

This new edition is particularly aimed at enthusiasts who want a beautiful garden that requires little care and is resistant to new pests (such as the red palm weevil, the leafhopper, or the xylella fastidiosa).
