Fluctuart In Paris: The First Floating Urban Art Center In The World

In the 7th district of Paris, near the Pont des Invalides, there is an art center that is unlike any other. Fluctuart defines itself as the first floating urban art center... but it is much more than that! We invite you to discover this free and evolving cultural place which offers, as a bonus, a breathtaking view on the Seine.

Art along the water

If you like street art and all forms of urban art, don't wait any longer to discover Fluctuart, the floating art center that has settled next to the Pont des Invalides in Paris!

This unique cultural venue, moored on the Seine opposite the Grand Palais, offers free exhibitions all year long.

It invites all audiences, young and old, Parisians or tourists, to discover or rediscover the world's greatest street artists like Keith Haring, JR, Banksy or Invader ...

A cultural center 2.0

The urban art center Fluctuart was made possible thanks to the call for projects Reinventing the Seine launched by the Paris City Council in 2015. It was imagined by a team of enthusiasts to bring urban art to life in the heart of the capital.

This project carried by Géraud Boursin, Nicolas Laugero Lasserre and Éric Philippon, was designed by Seine Design. It was imagined in partnership with the cultural association Artistik Rezo. The design of this floating building, which also had to be modular and transparent, was a real technical challenge.

In the end, this strange floating museum extends over 1000 m² and 3 levels and houses :
- a permanent collection of the biggest names in street art
- 3 temporary exhibitions per year
- a bar offering small catering
- a specialized bookshop
- a rooftop where you can have a drink and enjoy the view on the Grand Palais, the Trocadero and even the Eiffel Tower!

In summer, Fluctuart extends to a terrace on the quay, facing the water: a must-see spot to watch the sunset on the Seine!

An eclectic program

As you can see, the Fluctuart art center is worth a visit for its original setting and its unique location on the Seine.

This place free and open to all throughout the year also and above all has the vocation to make discover street art to the greatest number and to represent all the currents of this art.

The temporary exhibitions aim to introduce artists from all horizons: French or international, from Greater Paris or from the provinces, recognized or emerging... Young talents are also honored in 'the springboard gallery' located in the hold of this floating platform.

This art center on the Seine is also a place of creation that hosts occasional artist residencies, cultural events and creative and educational workshops for children (upon reservation).

Whether you are passionate about urban art or a complete neophyte, don't hesitate to take advantage of this unusual place and the works that are exhibited there!
