World No Mobile Day: 5 Tips To Meet The Challenge

Every year, the World No Mobile Days invite us to take a break without our phones for three days, from February 6 to 8. For those who feel unable to pick up, here are 5 tips to meet this challenge.

1- Take advantage of this opportunity to sleep in

Good news for those who want to take up the World No Cell Phone Days challenge: this year, February 6 falls on a Sunday!

This means that, barring any work obligations on that day, you'll be able to arrange your schedule as you see fit for your first day of weaning.

What if you took advantage of this to sleep in or at least sleep all you want, without having to set your phone's alarm and without being woken up in the morning by notifications or messages?

2- Get some fresh air

World No Cell Phone Days are also an opportunity to rediscover simple everyday pleasures such as going out for a walk with your hands in your pockets.

Leave your smartphone at home of course and go out airing yourself without taking with you all the news, information (good or bad), emails and other content that usually follows you everywhere you go.

If this idea worries you, it's probably because you're nomophobic and afraid of missing something important.

Take a deep breath and tell yourself that if someone wants to reach you, they will always find you eventually. This can wait until Monday.

Take advantage of your newfound freedom to really enjoy your walk. Make it your sole objective to recharge your batteries, admiring the scenery or nature, but above all, without taking any pictures!

3- Have the meal as a family

This Sunday, February 6 is also a great opportunity to persuade your family to take the no-cell phone days challenge all together.

It might be complicated if you have teenagers at home, but to motivate them, you can challenge them to go without their beloved smartphone in 't you dare drop your mobile 24 hours' mode.

If you succeed in proposing this challenge to your entire household, you will be rewarded with a real family Sunday meal.

Concoct a good meal and gather around the table to enjoy it, without being disturbed or interrupted by messages.

For once, no one will spend the meal glued to a small screen and you can share stories about the past week or talk about your plans for the one ahead.

4- Play sports outdoors

If you're worried about being lonely and idle during global no-cell phone days, use your Sunday afternoon to reconnect with friends and go for a jog or a walk in the fresh air.

Same advice if your kids start whining and saying they are bored without their access to TikTok or YouTube!

Offer them an outing, preferably outdoors rather than the movies! The goal of these 3 days of weaning is to do without screens as much as possible, whose blue light is harmful to our eyes.

On the contrary, natural light is beneficial both for distance vision and the prevention of Myopia and for sleep. So go outside, get some sun and let off steam: it's the best way to forget your smartphone!

5- Bring out the board games

The evening may be a difficult time in your withdrawal on World No Cell Phone Days if you are used to spending the end of the day on social networks or online games.

To make it through the challenge and not compromise the efforts you've made throughout the day, replace video games with board games!

Pull Monopoly or Clue out of the closet or simply suggest a card game like Uno or Tarot!

With these 5 tips, you should be able to successfully survive a day without a smartphone.You might even find yourself enjoying the free time you've taken advantage of this way.
