The town of Lectoure, in the Gers region, hosts every year a major photographic event combining exhibitions and artistic events. The photographic summer of Lectoure is a must-attend event for all art lovers.

The Photographic Summer of Lectoure, which takes place every year in July-August, is an important event focused on creativity and conviviality.
This festival, organized by the Photographic Center of Lectoure, at the initiative of photographer François Saint-Pierre, presents about ten exhibitions throughout the city. It also offers meetings with artists, performances, screenings, workshops and guided tours.
This event brings together young artists and internationally recognized artists. It produces unique exhibitions of leading artists and reveals unknown or never-before-exhibited artists in France.
Edition 2023 translates to "2023 Edition" in English.
The Lectoure Photographic Summer takes place from July 25th to September 24th, 2023, on the theme "The Spirit of the Place". Each of the projects and invited artists addresses essential aspects of Lectoure's identity. General curator: Damarice Amao. Exhibitions at the Center for Art and Photography: Memory of a Forgotten World - Lisetta Carmi; at the Voûtes du Maréchal: Living the Earth - Nicolas Tubéry; at the Jardin de la Piscine: Pool, New Utopia - Pierre Boucher, Jean Moral, and André Steiner; at La Cerisaie: Inventing and Dreaming Photography - Hanako Murakami and Tribute to Louis Ducos du Hauron; at Ecole Bladé: Exploring the Invisible - Stéphanie Solinas and Restoring Memory - Sénami Donoumassou and the History of the Senegalese Tirailleurs; at La Halle aux grains: Perspectives on the Photographic Summer (1990-2022) and Stand With Ukraine (a program of the Diagonal network) with Alex Blanco, Maxim Dondyuk, and Elena Subach; and at the Allées Montmorency: When Black is Burned - Marguerite Bornhauser.
Practical information.
The Lectoure Photographic Summer takes place from July 15th to September 24th, 2023. The exhibitions are held in different locations throughout the city: the Halle aux grains, the Ancien tribunal - Hôtel de ville, La Cerisaie, the Center of Art and Photography, and the Jean-François Bladé school.
Opening hours:
Monday to Thursday from 3pm to 7pm.
Friday to Sunday, from 10am to 1pm and from 3pm to 7pm.
Prices:
Pass for 6 euros.
Free admission for residents of Lectoure, members, press, under 18s, beneficiaries of RSA and job seekers, art and mediation students, and people with reduced mobility.
