Map Toulouse: The Festival For Photography Lovers

During the whole month of September, photography enthusiasts have an appointment in the pink city for an event placed under the sign of sharing: the MAP Toulouse festival. A contest and several free exhibitions are held in the city to encourage the meeting between the Toulouse public and professional or amateur photographers.

A completely free festival

An annual event founded in 2009 by Pierre Garrigues and a team of enthusiasts, the festival MAP Toulouse aims to make photographic culture accessible to all.

To do so, this festival is based on the following principles:
- free access to the calls for submissions and exhibitions
- large-scale installations in the city center of Toulouse
- amateur photographers invited to exhibit their images alongside the work of professional photographers.

This event placed under the sign of sharing invests the pink city throughout the month of September and offers each year a competition and several free exhibitions.

Since its inception in 2009, this festival has exhibited in Toulouse the work of many renowned photographers such as Elliott Erwitt, Raymond Depardon, Ulrich Lebeuf Martin Parr or Jean-Michel Turpin. But it has also contributed to reveal young talents such as Julie de Waroquier, Olivier Perez, Emmanuelle Brisson, Nicolas Rivals, Perrine Meric or Clément Darrasse.
