Family Flair: A Detective Story With Sylvie Testud And Samuel Labarthe On France 2.

On Saturday, April 8th, France 2 will broadcast in prime time a detective TV movie that could become a recurring series if viewers tune in. This new show features Sylvie Testud and Samuel Labarthe as two siblings who investigate together.

A clever scenario.

Family Flair, to be discovered on France 2 on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 9:10 pm, is a well-crafted police investigation.

In Hauts-de-France, Sabrina Delorme is found murdered in the agricultural cooperative where she worked. Commissioner François Flament, in charge of the investigation, is pleased to be working with his sister Caroline, a newly transferred captain from the Paris region.

They learn that the victim was about to marry a certain Yvan Laborde. During the interrogation, the latter confesses to also having an affair with Loren, Sabrina's sister.

A beautiful duo of actors.

The TV movie "Flair de famille" also benefits from a 5-star cast, starting with the two main actors.

Actress and director Sylvie Testud, too rare on television, embodies an overexcited police officer, returning to her region after several years spent in the BAC in suburban Paris. The actress embodies this rock'n'roll cop with the talent she is known for.

Fans who regret "Les Petits Meurtres d'Agatha Christie" on France 2 will have the pleasure of finding Samuel Labarthe in the role of a commissioner. Faithful to himself, the actor is perfect in this role of a measured investigator, passionate about animals. He forms with Sylvie Testud "a duo of shock full of contrasts".

Two investigators with atypical methods.

Unusual investigator duos are legion in TV series and police TV movies, and Flair de famille is no exception! In this TV film, the brother and sister are very different heirs of a family dynasty of cops.

The first works in Abbeville, a small town in Hauts-de-France, while the second has just arrived from the Parisian suburbs. François likes slowness, but he proves to be very effective in deciphering human emotions thanks to his knowledge of animals.

On the other hand, his sister Caroline is very fast and has kept the methods of the BAC of the 93. The two investigators form a complementary and supportive duo, but always marked by childhood wounds that have not healed. Jealousy and resentment will be expressed, especially since the brother and sister are investigating a family tragedy that will shake their own fraternal relationship...

Note: relationships between brothers and sisters are a fertile ground for screenwriters. They are notably at the heart of the American series This is us which follows the adventures of triplets! This family series has been successfully adapted in France under the title Je te promets and season 3 is currently airing on TF1 on Monday nights.

A unitary soon to be turned into a series?

Carried by the energy of these two main actors, the 90-minute TV movie Flair de famille could soon be adapted into a TV series on France 2!

For this to happen, this captivating and well-performed investigation would need to achieve good ratings on Saturday night on Deux, despite the competition from the blind auditions of The Voice 2023 on TF1.
