On Monday, January 29, M6 will air a special prime-time Scènes de ménages evening. For this seventeenth special episode of the series, the writers have conceived that the daily life of every couple will be turned upside down due to a prank by Raymond. A new special evening for M6's flagship series
Good news for the over 3 million fans of the series "Scènes de ménages" aired Monday through Friday at 8:30 PM on M6!
They can start the week with a smile thanks to a new prime time special titled "Plans on the Comet," airing this Monday, January 29, 2024, at 9:10 PM.
In this special episode, it will be about the end of the world and a comet hitting Earth, but, as always in the series, this apocalyptic announcement is mainly an excuse for laughter.
An episode with a wild and improbable plot
Even though this prime time evening is the seventeenth of its kind for the hit comedy series on M6, the writers of Scènes de ménages were once again inspired. In this episode titled Plans on the Comet, Raymond is invited to participate in a radio show. However, he is mistaken for a distinguished CNRS researcher...
Seizing the misunderstanding, the mischievous character played by Gérard Hernandez announces that a comet is going to hit the Earth and more specifically, it will strike France in the following hours.
His joke will have multiple repercussions on the couples in the series and lead all these characters into adventures more extraordinary than the next! Camille and Philippe decide to make the most of their last day on Earth by raiding the fridges of the country club, while Emma takes Fabien to her bunker.
A host of guests
This special episode, which was filmed last autumn, also provides an opportunity for the "Scènes de ménage" team to welcome numerous prestigious guests.
As has been the case during previous prime-time episodes, well-known faces to the viewers will come to lend a hand to the characters of the series. Among these guests, you will recognize comedians, actors, and even presenters from the M6 group.
Ophélie Meunier and Francis Huster will play radio hosts during Raymond's broadcast, while Gil Alma will portray a completely wild survivalist alongside Christine and Gilbert, aka Fanny Cottençon and Didier Bénureau.
Among the guests who came to spice up this special evening, we will also note the presence of Daniel Russo and Philippe Lellouche, not to mention Helena Noguerra in the role of Leslie's head of service. As for the inimitable Bruno Sanchez and Virginie Hocq, they form an explosive couple for the occasion with Philippe and Camille!
A Tribute to Marion Game
Even though there are ups and downs in this prime time with its whimsical plot, this evening is an opportunity to pay tribute to Marion Game.
Indeed, this episode is the first new prime time since the passing of the actress who played Huguette on March 23, 2023. The production has decided to use this special evening to address the death of Huguette. On this matter, Gérard Hernandez stated: "In the prime time, we're going to announce her disappearance in a way that's both poetic and funny. I've found an ending that's going to be good."
The tribute given by Raymond during this program will mark an important milestone in the series. From now on, the grouchy and colorful granny played by Marion Game will be spoken of in the past, but she will never disappear from the Scènes de ménages storyline. "She's never far from our thoughts," declared Khaled Amara, the artistic producer of the series.
Changes on the horizon
This evening, marked by laughter, will introduce other new features to the hit M6 series. This prime time is the first in which all the protagonists of the series Scènes de ménages are confronted with the same situation, a formula that could be reused for future prime times.
"Today, we have seven couples. We thought that following seven parallel storylines was starting to be a lot," explained Khaled Amara in an interview. "With this renewal of writing, we strengthen the drama of the prime time."
Fans of the series can therefore expect new developments in the narrative, especially on the occasion of the series' 15th anniversary, which will be celebrated at the beginning of the next season.
