Esiv: Higher School Of Clothing Industries
Higher Technical School of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris, ESIV (Higher School of Clothing Industries) trains executives with dual technical and managerial skills. Upon graduating, young graduates hold various positions in companies within the fashion industry.
Presentation of ESIV
The Higher School of Garment Industries, or ESIV, is a technical higher education institution of the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Founded in 1945, the school trains managers for fashion companies who have both technical and managerial skills.
ESIV enjoys professional recognition and expertise and has about 1500 partner companies in France and internationally (couturiers, designers, major ready-to-wear brands, specialized chains, department stores, purchasing centers, and mass retail).
Training at ESIV
ESIV is recruiting at the Bac + 2 level based on application and interview. The training takes place over two years and enables the acquisition of multiple skills specific to the sector:
• 1st year: full-time student regime over 12 months
• 2nd year: under apprenticeship contract
Note: students who choose the apprenticeship route are paid by companies over 15 months and do not pay any tuition fees in the 2nd year; to benefit from this status, students must be under 26 years old at the start of the 2nd year and be EU nationals.
ESIV's training revolves around 2 main themes: manufacturing fashion products and managing fashion activities.
The Higher School of Clothing Industries awards a unique title in France "Manager - Fashion and Clothing Product Developer," registered in the National Directory of Professional Certifications. This title can also be obtained through the Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE).
