Ingredients
- - 1.5 kg of fresh blackberries
- - 500 g of granulated sugar
- - 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice
Preparation
1. Rinse the blackberries thoroughly in a large basin of water, then remove them with a slotted spoon and place them in a non-stick pot.
2. Cover the pot and cook the blackberries for 5 minutes over medium heat.
3. Once cooking is complete, let the blackberries rest for 5 minutes.
4. Then pass the blackberries through a food mill fitted with a very fine mesh screen.
5. Add 500 g of granulated sugar and cook the mixture for 10 minutes over low heat. Then add the tablespoon of lemon juice.
6. Pour your coulis into a glass bottle to keep it chilled. Consume it within 3 days or consider freezing it for future use.
