The Lille Christmas Market: A Cosmopolitan Market

Every year, at the end of November, a large Ferris wheel is set up in the Grand-Place, signaling the start of Lille's Christmas market. The illuminated facades and shops compete in creativity, while the wooden chalets in Rihour Square offer objects and local artisanal specialties, or... from all around the world! Come admire the capital of Flanders in its festive lights and experience the cheerful atmosphere unique to the North of France!

Festive and cosmopolitan atmosphere

With its garlands, lights, and wooden chalets, the Lille Christmas market spreads the magic of Christmas in the heart of the city.

A must-see attraction at the end of the year, the Ferris wheel set up on the Grand Place soars to a height of 50 meters and offers a magnificent view of the city and its lights as night falls.

This market is an unmissable event to marvel with family and find plenty of gift ideas, products from the region or much further away...

Indeed, the chalets at Place Rihour offer local crafts, but also Russian, Polish, Quebecois, and Native American! In Lille, the Christmas market is magical and cosmopolitan!

2023 Edition

This year again, 900,000 visitors are expected at the Lille Christmas Market from November 22 to December 31, 2023.

On the Grand-Place, the Ferris wheel with its 36 gondolas awaits you amidst a sumptuous setting, dominated by an 18-meter-tall giant Christmas tree!

At Place Rihour, 83 chalets invite visitors to discover local, regional, or international products in keeping with the Christmas tradition.
