The Lyric Art Festival Of Salon-de-provence

Less known than its neighbor Aix-en-Provence, the Festival of Lyric Art of Salon-de-Provence takes place every year in August in a majestic setting with exceptional acoustics: the courtyard of the castle of Empéri. This event is an opportunity to be moved by magical and magnificent voices and to discover or rediscover the great works of the classical repertoire, at affordable prices.

Presentation of the festival

The Lyric Art Festival of Salon-de-Provence was created in 2006 by the Mezza Voce association in order to offer operas, performed by the greatest, at an accessible rate.

This event also aims to discover, during an evening that is totally reserved for them, the Young Lyric Talents who will be the great artists of tomorrow.

The famous French baritone, Alain Fondary, is the patron of Mezza Voce and the festival.

Each year, this event offers quality performances in Salon-de-Provence in the Renaissance courtyard of the Château de l'Emperi, which offers both an impressive natural setting and remarkable acoustics.

Several evenings are traditionally on the program:
- a concert of young lyrical talent from the region
- a free screening of a film about opera
- an evening dedicated to the creation of an opera with the famous choir of Parma and the symphonic orchestra 'Cantieri d'Arte' of Reggio Emilia conducted by Stefano Giaroli.
