The White Stride: Cross-country Skiing And Events In Autrans

Cross-country skiing event, the Foulée Blanche is also a festive and popular gathering. It brings together nearly 7000 participants each year in the Vercors Regional Natural Park.

A Nordic event

Since 1979, the "Foulée Blanche" has been the meeting point for all cross-country skiing enthusiasts. This event brings together participants of all ages and levels in an exceptional setting.

Indeed, it takes place in the Nordic area of Autrans, one of the most beautiful in Europe. This place has been a benchmark since it hosted the 1968 Olympic Games.

It's worth noting that since its inception, France's most popular long-distance race has seen 170,000 skiers compete on the tracks of the Autrans Nordic site.

Races and other activities

The Foulée Blanche originally comprised three events of 5, 10, and 20 km. Over the years, it has expanded and now offers a 42 km course.

In parallel, other races have been added to the program, including the Youth and Children's Foulées. From primary school to university, schoolchildren and students take part in these sporty and fun challenges: a great way to inspire future generations!

This event is marked by free-access animations.
Note: the Foulée Blanche is an eco-sportive event and has multiplied initiatives to reduce its environmental footprint (waste reduction, waste sorting, and recycling).
