Invalides Aura: A Fairy-like Immersive Experience.

Since September 22, 2023, the Dome des Invalides in Paris has been adorned with light, colors, and music through an immersive show called Aura Invalides. This creation uses light projections, orchestral music, and video mapping to provide visitors with a magical experience. Explanations.

The Invalides Dome as you've never seen it before.

Tourists passing through Paris have probably all already admired the Dome des Invalides, a dome that stands 60 meters tall and whose gold shines in the Parisian sky for over three centuries...

However, not everyone has the curiosity to visit the interior of the Dome, which houses the tomb of Napoleon I since 1861.

To showcase this architectural gem, inaugurated by Louis XIV in 1706, Cultival and the Musée de l'Armée - Invalides inaugurated in September 2023 an immersive multimedia experience created by the studio Moment Factory: Aura Invalides.

This 50-minute nighttime spectacle invites visitors to discover or rediscover this iconic monument of the capital with a fresh perspective.

An impressive visual and sound creation

Aura Invalides uses light, orchestral music, and video mapping techniques to highlight the architectural splendor of the Dôme des Invalides.

This immersive and stunning show presents itself as a series of tableaux that bring together digital creation and classical architecture. Not only will the lighting effects leave you speechless, but the music will also play an important role in this sensory experience.

It took the teams at Moment Factory studio over a year to create this show in collaboration with the scientific teams at the Musée de l'Armée.

The artistic teams at the studio have designed "a visual and auditory work inspired by the symbolism of the place" in order to reveal the splendor of its architecture, conceived by Jules Hardouin-Mansart in the late 17th century.

The show consists of three movements that evoke three fundamental aspects of this monument:
• its original construction.
• the memories that animate it.
• its power of universal elevation.

A breathtaking nighttime show.

If you feel like discovering Paris by night and experiencing something out of the ordinary, don't wait any longer to book your ticket on the official Aura Invalides website (see the link below)!

This immersive show lasts 50 minutes and takes place in the Dôme des Invalides in the evening after sunset. Once immersed in darkness, the interior of the monument comes to life through the magic of light, orchestral music, and the latest video mapping techniques.

At night, the beams of light, immersion, and spatial sound enhance the impressive architecture of the dome down to the smallest details.
