The Mango Coconut Smoothie Bowl: An Easy Recipe

A more nutritious variation of the famous Californian smoothie, the smoothie bowl is the perfect combo for a healthy breakfast, snack or brunch. We suggest you discover an easy recipe for a mango coconut smoothie bowl.

Ingredients

Here are the ingredients needed to make a mango coconut smoothie bowl for 2 people:

2 mangoes or 2 bowls of frozen mango pieces
1 banana
a small tray of blueberries
1 yogurt made with coconut milk
20 cl of coconut milk
2 tablespoons of grated coconut
2 tablespoons of oatmeal
2 tablespoons of honey

Preparation

To realize this smoothie bowl mango coconut, we begin by preparing a smoothie with a little thick texture.

1- Peel a mango and cut it into pieces in a blender.

2- Add half a banana cut into slices. Reserve the other half of the banana for decoration.

3- Add the yogurt, coconut milk and a tablespoon of honey.

4- Blend until smooth and homogeneous.

5- Divide this mixture into two bowls and place them in the fridge for at least 1 hour.

6- Meanwhile, lightly toast the shredded coconut in a pan without adding any fat. Set aside.

7- In the same pan, prepare an express granola: toast the oats and add a tablespoon of honey at the end. Mix well, turn off the heat and let cool.

Finishes

After an hour in the fridge, your smoothie will take on a slightly thick texture. This is a necessary step to be able to spread the fruit on top, without it 'sinking' to the bottom of the bowl.

1- Dice the remaining mango and slice the banana.

2- Spread the different ingredients on the top of the mango coconut smoothie bowl, drawing several colored bands.

3- Arrange in order: toasted shredded coconut, banana slices, diced mango, honey granola and fresh blueberries.
