Chocolate Cake With Olive Oil: A Vegan Recipe

Do you dream of a good chocolate cake without eggs or butter? What looks like a utopia is well and truly possible thanks to the following vegan recipe! I propose you to discover in pictures the recipe of the chocolate cake with olive oil.

Ingredients

Here are the ingredients needed to make a Chocolate and olive oil cake for 6 people:

100 g dark chocolate
20 cl of vegetable milk
200 g of flour
one sachet of yeast
2 packets of Vanilla sugar
half a grated tonka bean
7 cl of olive oil
a knob of vegetable margarine for the mould

Preparation

This Chocolate and olive oil cake has the distinction of being vegan. It contains no eggs or any dairy products, like cow's milk or butter.

1- Break the Chocolate into a pan.

2- Add the plant milk and melt the Chocolate over low heat, stirring constantly until the liquid is smooth.

3- In a bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder and Vanilla sugar.

4- Add the grated tonka bean or, failing that, a teaspoon of powdered cinnamon.

5- Mix the dry ingredients, then gradually add the Chocolate milk and olive oil.

To note: it is normal for the texture of the dough to be very sticky, as in the photo below.

Cooking

1- Preheat your oven to 165°C.

2- Spread the batter in a greased cake tin and smooth the top of the cake.

3- Bake this chocolate and olive oil cake for 45 minutes.

4- Let it cool before unmolding and slicing.

To note: this recipe is very low in sugar. If you wish, you can therefore add chocolate chips to the batter or cover this cake with a chocolate ganache made from dark chocolate and plant milk.

For breakfast, you can serve this low-sugar Chocolate cake with orange or raspberry jam.
